Iraqi Shoe Thrower Gets 3 Years in Prison

To throw or not to throw: The shoes, aimed at Bush, felt round the world

Muntadar Al Zaidi hurled one, then a second shoe at Bush this past Sunday in Baghdad, where the self-styled "war president" showed up at a press conference alongside Nouri Al Maliki (right, at podium), Washington's puppet prime minister of U.S.-occupied Iraq

Bush ducked as the footwear projectile headed his way

Security men immediately surrounded Bush and the Iraqi prime minister; Bush quipped that the flying shoes were "a size 10"

The Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at then-President George W. Bush was convicted Thursday of assaulting a foreign leader and sentenced to three years in prison, lawyers said. He defiantly shouted "long live Iraq" when the sentence was read.
Muntadhar al-Zeidi's bold act in December electrified many across the Middle East who consider him a hero for expressing his anger at a president who is widely disliked for his decision to invade Iraq in 2003.

Nakubaliana nawe ni kweli ingekuwa hivyo na kama sio hivyo basi angekaa jela miezi mitatu au sita na kuachiliwa
